Frist Commandant of Subsidiary Training Center Kharkan expires

AMRITSAR: The first Commandant of Subsidiary Training Center, (STC) Border Security Force (BSF) , Kharkan Hoshiarpur, Colnel (Retd.) Ajit Singh Gill expired at the age of 83, informed , BSF's Deputy Inspector General RPS Jaswal on Friday. He informed that Gill had served this STC as Commandant from May 21st 1979 to July 1st 1982 and gave his valuable services.

The present shape of STC BSF Kharkan was the vision of Colonel Gill who had been living with his family in Jahan-Khelan. He is survived by wife, a daughter and a son. Born on April 4th, 1929 Colnel (Retd.) Gill got commissioned in Madras in Madras Regiment in 1951. After and after service of 33 years in Army and BSF, he retired in 1984 from BSF.

Jaswal informed that Colonel (Retd.) Ajit Singh Gill who was the founder of the Subsidiary Training Centre, Border Security Force, Kharkan, will be remembered forever for his commendable and untiring efforts for the development of STC Kharkan.
