Police advice to Punggol East voters on Polling Day

SINGAPORE: Voters in the Punggol East by-election are advised to take public transport or where possible, walk to their polling stations on 26 January.

Parking is not allowed within the premises of the polling stations located in places such as schools.

For polling stations located under HDB void decks, the parking lots immediately fronting the polling stations will be closed to facilitate the polling activities.

There will be special drop-off points at each polling station for vehicles conveying sick, infirm or disabled persons.

Security checks will be carried out on bags and large items brought into the polling stations.

Voters are advised not to bring along large bags and to leave the voting stations after casting their votes.

The police have also advised members of the public not to loiter around the vicinity of the polling stations.
